Does Google Hate Me?
I’m not really focused on SEO for my blog here, just I’d like the be on top of Google for the terms “connor wilson”. Nothing hard to demand right? Keywords in the domain and title, not bad, right? Well, in competition with Google itself (Blogger… *spits*) some other random guy with the same name is #1 and I’m #2. See here. I was the first result a week or so ago, when I had the “By Connor Wilson” at the end of each post, but I didn’t like the way it looked. Unfortunately, Google liked the keyword density.
Yahoo, on the other hand loves me. I couldn’t ask for more listed inlinks, etc… from Yahoo, MSN, etc… Google (the on that matters) only finds 5 inlinks for whatever reason.
Back to that Blogger page… It’s “Connor Wilson”’s profile on Blogger, probably a couple years old, and it’s managed to become PR4 over time. It’s almost a blank page! I don’t knwo what kind of effect PageRank has on listing, but this site is PR5… That should really count for something.
I’ll contemplate adding in obvious keywords disguised as authors, but in the mean time, short rant over.

Yeah SEO is a never ending thing, and once you’ve attained your goals, then you have to work on maintaining them.

Well, HATE is a pretty hard word, may be “not love” is a better on…
