SiteScore 2 Now Out (Beta)
SiteScore is a tool by web development heavy weights Silktide. For those of you who don’t know what SiteScore is, or hadn’t seen the first version, it’s simply a tool that rates your website on a number of factors. Design (tables vs. CSS), SEO, traffic, user ratings and accessibility are all big parts of your score, which is then presented to you out of 10. Now with the release of SiteScore 2, the tool has now been refined and is better than ever. Currently the tool is invite only, but you can get one simply by applying on the front page.
The new version reports on your site with three main critera:
- Accessibility: How accessible your website is to users with disabilities.
- Quality: The quality of the build and content of your website.
- Search Engines: How well your website is SEO’d.
Here is an example report of CSS Play, using the new SiteScore:

Not a bad job by Stu Nicholls (CSS Play owner). The public version will probably be out soon, but as you can see from their feedback page, they have gotten a lot of bug reports. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long, but until then this is another good job by Silktide.
