What the Cutline Framework Has Done so Far
A couple days ago I released the new theme for the CSS reboot. IT was well documented that I switched from the heavy K2 with some AJAX features, to the straight ahead, build for SEO Cutline.
It’s been a few days, and I’m already noticing the effects.
First of all, I’d like to get it out there that the reason I used Cutline was Chris Pearson’s post on how to raise your SE traffic by 455%. For those of you who didn’t know, Chris Pearson is also the guy who made Cutline in the first place.
So whats been going on?
First of all, I can’t say anything about the SE traffic yet, as I switched to Mint the day of the release (late in the day) and can’t compare. But for SE placements, I am once again “back on top of Blogger” in the Google rankings, as last time I posted that I went down again the next day.
The difference this time? I’m on top in the UK and US/Canada, as well as Blogger being #2. The last two times Blogger just disappeared. I think this time could be the final straw to keeping me stuck to the top of that term. My name seems to be what brings in the most SE hits, so it’s good to be right up on top… for the third, and hopefully the last time.
On a couple-of-days basis, SE traffic has improved, but I’d rather make that conclusion in a month or so.
The next step for more organic traffic that has been made apparent to me is Google Image search. I’m going to experiment with it for a while and see how it works out.

Really? When I check I’m on top for both.
And for the subscriber increase, I’ll wait until it’s averaging 40/week before making that conclusion.

It’s all tracked, so when I make a report in a months time, I’ll use all my tracked data. All my FeedBurner stats are tracked by Mint as well.

Yeah Razor, you’re right. I’ve managed to fall back to #2 somehow…
I guess Google is ranking me properly, and then realizing they own Blogger.

your last comment is really interesting Connor.

No, I don’t think Google sees Blogger as better than WordPress, but I think the fact I’m on WP is irrelevant, and that Google is favouring itself (it owns Blogger).

Yeah, seems to be #1 again for now.
And I’m on Dreamhost, the harpo server. Just email them asking for a switch and you’ll get it in no time.
