Blogging is like playing a sport. Any sport.
You can be a natural, you can be horrible. You can improve, and you can be the best. You will have down times, and it will get the best of you. You will get the best of it. It you try and don’t give up you will conquer it.

True, like any sport, blogging would need something to find out who’s best.
Though Technorati would only find who has been linked to the most over time… Not necessarily the best writers, etc…

You’re right, except I would compare the analogy to golf more so. You can have a great natural talent as mentioned, but there’s always some aspect of your game to work on and something to improve (SEO, linkbait, site structure).
But one day you can have a blinding round (a Digg moment), but the next you can have a horrible nightmare (getting slated by other bloggers, deindexed, low Adsense earnings).
Lol I never thought of it like that though.

Lol. This is the shortest post in your entire blog Connor. I am fed up of pholosophy, there a guy im my year saying all this random stuff like “if silence is nothing and you have silence what do you have”, to prove him wrong: Silence is a wrd used to descirbe a moment where there is no sound, or it is an instruction for people not to make a noise. And “If knowledge is power, and power s knowledge… some other stuff i have forgotten”. He is annoying.
And thats not the best statements i’ve ever heard/read.

Great question there Angie… Maybe the steroids would be something like buying posts that are laser targeted link bait. Sure fire ways to get on Digg.
Or guest posting, but it depends who does it
