WordPress Admin Panel Skin
I’ve recently got around to hacking up my WordPress admin panel’s CSS to make something new.
Not anything better by any means, as I didn’t move much around, but I made it look cool for myself, here using Firefox at 1680*1050. It’s 95% done, the other 5% is on the “Write” page at the bottom. As you’ll see on the top part of the writing page, I’ve editted some images for the DBX drag and drop system WP have implemented, and the 5% not done entails more of that.
So, without any more suspense, here are some full sized screen shots (click for full view):

For any of those interested, I just opened up Coda and navigated to http://yoursite.tld/wp-admin/wp-admin.css and started hacking away.
When doing something like this, I of course had Photoshop open for colour choices and gradient making (as well as some image editing) but ColorZilla really helps, not because of it’s eye dropper, but because it gives you the id/class and the element you’re on.
If it’s in demand for any reason, I’d be glad to release this publicly. Keep in mind it’s meant for Firefox, because I used some round corner cheating CSS, but IE users won’t notice (they don’t care about the browsing or display anyways) a difference.
Edit: I do have to give it up to say I was inspired by Devlounge’s admin panel which I’m assuming AJ did. I’d wanted to do this for some time, but this really motivated me

Heh, thanks for the plug. I’m still working on the Devlounge backend - hopefully when I’m all done it will be cleaned up nice. Nice job on this though
