What Exactly is RSS?
RSS, or Really Simple Syndication is something that baffles a lot of users. It really shouldn’t if you consider the name: Really Simple Syndication. This video (via David Airey by CommonCraft)
This is three and a half minutes of pure gold. I already know how to use RSS, and use it to read 70 sites a day (many times a day) and still loved this video.
Why should you subscribe to my feed?
Now that you’re here, and know how to use RSS, you might want to subscribe to my own feed. Here’s why:
- Constantly updated posts, twice a day, at minimum once.
- Awesome tips you can use to improve your own blog and designs.
- Avoid making mistakes by learning about mine.
- Don’t get left behind in a huge amount of awesome content!
- You can even subscribe by email to get the latest posts in your inbox!

I used to hate…HATE!!..rss feeds before I got my mac and found Vienna. I had tried using different plugins on Firefox on my PC and programs to get into rss feeds, but I just didn’t like any of them. Now though, I can’t live without Vienna being open all day long.
The one thing I caution people against is adding TOO many sites to their feeder. If you have 200 feeds coming in from big sites, chances are you’ll never get anything done other than reading new posts
