Friday (Saturday) Roundup: July 7th, 2007
Posted on July 7th, 2007. 12 Comments so far. You next?
The Friday Roundup is something that occurs every Friday here, where I point you in the direction of some awesome posts and articles that dropped during the week. These really help you find new, great content. I’ve read a couple today and have found a couple new sites already! Unfortunatey it slipped my mind yesterday, so I bring it to you on Saturday!
- Carl Pei talks about the human psychology involved in getting more comments.
- Following the psychology theme, David Airey writes about the psychology of blog publishing. Great article.
- Consumerist caught the geek squad stealing porn from their computer. That will definitely be good for business…
- Pownce has been out for a couple of days now, I got my invite this week. I have four more for anyone interested. (My profile)
- Pete Cashmore asks what Technorati should actually do.
Overall, it was a slow week in terms of me keeping my bookmarks, so all the good stuff is lost in the tubes. As I keep my bookmarks this week, the next Friday roundup will be packed full of sites you may not have seen before, and I’ve never linked to before.
In my own business, I wrote “5 Reasons I Don’t Read Your Blog and how to Change That” over on Devlounge, and had an awesome week in terms of quality articles, so just check out the July Archives for some good stuff.
That’s all for this week’s Friday Roundup. Next week promises to be exactly 179% better. To catch that, hitch a ride on my RSS train, or find out what RSS is.

Connor this has been annoying me. When you click a link it loads in this page. Please can you change it so no do it. And it you are worried about not being xHtml 1.1 valid then ask i have a nice javascript alternative.
Nothing massive has come out this week i agree, but next week there will be my blog :D.
And as a few of you know i am learning Cocoa and Objective-C. http://cocoadevcentral.com/ is the link where i’m learning it from. I have made a simple notepad using a tutorial on there and have almost made it work fully. Once it does it will be avalible for download. Sorry Windows users, it’s Mac only. (OS X 10.2+).

Aren’t you a FireFox user? Command + click the links.
It opens a new tab.

Yes i am a Firefox user. I also know the Cmd+click tool, but it’s so much easier to have links open in a new tabs (it’s what i meant not page) without having to use the Cmd+click thing. Also if anyone knows any good Cocoa sites please let me know me at henrylegge.co.uk

These are some interesting posts. I hope one day one of my posts appear here haha.
Wow the geeksquad incident I find hilarious. I bet whichever staff member got caught, was definetly fired.

I don’t know if they fired him, more than they all just went, “holy crap we should be more careful”
