Take the SEO Quiz (Really, you Should)
As you may have seen by now, SEOmoz has put out an awesome quiz, so good I’m dedicating a whole post to it. It’s all about testing your SEO knowledge and is filled with fun facts and over 75 questions you really have to think. There’s some easter eggs in there, but for the most part it’s just informative and attempting to measure your knowledge.
Take the quiz here: SEO quiz.
My Results
I don’t claim to be a SEO expert, but I do like to think I know something. I wouldn’t open my own SEO firm, but as part of a design I include some on-site factors. This was my score:
So as you can see, I scored 80%, which gives me the SEOmoz quiz “professional” status. I let some easy ones go by without thinking them all the way through, and I also learned a lot. There was some real hard questions that I could use common sense to guess correctly, and there were some I was totally off on.
The best part is that they give you all the answers at the end, so that you can learn from your mistakes. Having read through all my incorrect answers, I would probably score 95%+ on a second time, but that would be cheating
So I implore you to take take this quiz. It needs a good 10 minutes or so, but it’s worth it. If you’re not into SEO, you can gage yourself, and if you are, you can see where you’re really at. If you take it, post your results here, I’m curious.
If this is old news, keep in mind I write a day ahead, and am writing about the day after I saw this. Hopefully the two day gap doesn’t work against me too much. In other, totally unrelated news, I just passed my 5000th spam comment! I don’t know how I feel about that…

I did a lot worse than I thought I would. 59%. Oh well. Good thing I’m not in the SEO business.

This seems nice. But I think that if we using our common sense, we should ask ourself a question : Isn’t the questions that gives us a hint on the SEO answers ?
Without mentioning that it is multiple choice

I took it twice. Once in class not paying attention at all and then a few days later actually trying hard. The first time I got over 80% and the second I got 64%….How does that happen

I think if you look to deep into the questions you get them wrong lol

I started to take it, and got bored after 13 questions. I then clicked random answers. Using this method I scored 40%.
