Top Commenters of September
September was a great months for comments. By my best guess, there were slightly under 300 comments. The continuing participation is what keeps this blog and many others going, and for that each month I dedicate a post for those who took the time to leave a few comments through out the month. Before I get to that, I’ll give the run down of why commenting is good.
- 6 Comments over 30 days in September gets you a free PR5 backlink and a mention in this post.
- At almost 6 comments per post, you’re bound to stimulate some part of your brain with the discussion.
- Build a relationship with other commenters and even myself. I read every comment and visit every site!
- With the doFollow plugin installed, I share my link juice with you.
- Your link goes on every page of this website. That’s over 460 indexed by Google.
Now, to the point. These ten readers took the time over the last month to share their thoughts, and for that I am forever in debt to them. Well, until this post goes live, and the link they choose to maintain starts to show its effects.
David Hopkins was number one this month, just edging out Mike by one. David was also the owner the 1000th commenter. I’m up over 1300 now!
Robert MacEwan, Vincent and Adam McKerlie were all very tight this month combining for almost 40 comments and having one more than each other, respectively. Adam is a familiar name on this list, and again he posted his stats and you’ll see where I stand against him tomorrow
Neil Turner, a new commenter and Thomas Sinfield both contributed 10 comments last month, meaning seven people left comments in the double digits!
Ryan, a regular reader and commenter shows up again on this list, as well as Daniel Johnson, who has unfortunately just closed his blog.
Razor, yet another familiar name rounds out the list this month, and if you’re looking for mindless entertainment, check out his flash game site.
Also, a past top commenter, Henry has just released his blog, and although he’s just getting started, he’s finally got that design up and running, which I’ve been waiting to see in action forever. Looks good.
Another thing that also looks good is the new design for this site. I don’t have much time to really work on it, but 10 minutes or so a day, just tweaking stuff has really proven a great method. You can tell on this design there isn’t much in the way detail, and that will change. I might give some sort of preview, but until then, just know that pinstripes are totally back.

September was a really tight race. This is one of the only blogs that I read religiously and comment on. Most blogs I’ll read and if I find something really interesting I’ll probably just make a note to comment but never get around to it.
Can’t wait to see how well I do against you Connor
this was a slow month for me because school started and I just didn’t have time. Keep up the great work.

I was definitely affected by school starting. I only had 22 or so posts last month, hopefully I can get back to normal in October. Thanks for the continuing support

It was a really tight race. I got knocked off the list a few times. Didn’t really do it for the backlink at this point since I’m already getting several from here as it is.
BTW I stumbled an older article that I never read before. The viral link bait one.

I never even realized how many posts I had! Wow! Thats alot of comments this past month and I am guessing if there is a few more posts this month we will break that record easily, just looking at the last post there is 20 comments alone! This blog has done very well in the short time it has been open! Thanks for the link love!

Nice to be part of your blog article Connor. It’s just another stimulation for the contribution of more comments on your blog.

Yeah I closed down my blog.
I’ve decided to focus more on my gaming blog from now on. I’ll still stay tuned in, just don’t expect me in October’s top commentors though.

It’s great to see top commenters being rewarded. When I have something shiny and valuable to share, I may adopt the same system.
Until then.. share the comment love!

I too will install this great plugin once I get more commenters posting on my blog and once I have had a good month worth of posting in. It has done wonders for this site!
