How to Create a WordPress Login Form Overlay

Posted on August 25th in General — 34 Comments so far. Got something to say?

For those that have seen the feature I coded up for my recent redesign and were curious as to how it’s done, you can see it over at ProBlogDesign!

WordPress is more than just a blogging tool. It can be used as a Content Management System (CMS) for many different purposes. It has a built in system for most things you would have to code yourself, or pay for an expensive custom application. With a little creativity, you can use basic features to power almost anything you want.

Go check it out!

Thanks for the link I’m totally going to check it out. Just thought I would tell you that your RSS feed has an error.

“XML Parsing Error: XML or text declaration not at start of entity
    Location: http://feeds.feedburner.com/ConnorWilson
    Line Number 2, Column 1:”

Ah, I just just spent a ton of time messing with some pages, and now another problem :(

I wonder if it’s me or Feedburner. Time to investigate!

Hey, let me know if you get the feed issue sorted out. I’m having the same problem. All plugins off and default theme activated and STILL no feed. Is it a 2.6.1 issue?

@Matt — I reinstalled WordPress and it didn’t fix it. I actually uploaded it without backing up, thinking it wouldn’t overwrite anything like… my theme. But, it did and I lost some progress I had made on general improvements. Live and learn.

I don’t know what effect the feed thing will have, so I’m waiting for 2.6.2 I guess. My visual editor doesn’t work either.

Just started using Wordpress and am a little lost. Checked out your post, great info. I’ve started compiling a list of info for referenced and added it. WP is versatile I’ll say that. I’ve already screwed it up once “upgrading” a plugin. As you said, live and learn.
